AAA Editor Notes
Seward House Museum, 33 South St., was the home of the secretary of state under Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. It contains original family furnishings, decorative arts and mementos of William H. Seward's career. A painting by Emanuel Leutze depicts Seward's negotiations for the purchase of Alaska.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
