Shaker Heritage Society

Shaker Heritage Society is off I-87 exit 4, then 1.5 mi. w. on Albany Shaker Rd. to Heritage Ln. next to Albany International Airport at 25 Meeting House Rd. On the site of the first Shaker settlement, established in 1775, the complex includes the 1848 Shaker Meeting House, an herb garden, an apple orchard, the cemetery where sect founder Mother Ann Lee is buried and a nature preserve with trails.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
