Ballantine House is at 49 Washington St., adjacent to The Newark Museum. This restored 1885 Victorian mansion, which belonged to brewer John H. Ballantine, contains eight rooms furnished as they would have been in 1891. Six galleries and two hallways display a collection of decorative arts.
