Cape May Lighthouse

Cape May Lighthouse is at jct. Lighthouse Ave. and Sunset Blvd. in Cape May Point State Park. The lighthouse was built in 1859 and has been fully restored. Visitors who choose to climb the 199 steps to the top will be rewarded with a view of the Jersey Cape, where the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean meet. Information about the lighthouse's structure and history is posted along the ascent. A visitor orientation center also is on site.
