Horatio Colony Nature Preserve, off SR 9, 1 mi. w. of jct. SRs 10, 12 and 101 on Daniels Hill Rd., is a 645-acre refuge for many species of birds and other animals as well as native plants. Five miles of nature trails wind through upland hardwood forest. Hiking is a popular activity; hardy winter sports enthusiasts enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. A self-guiding trail booklet is available at the trailhead kiosk.

Recreational activities are permitted.
