Le Pays de la Sagouine

Le Pays de la Sagouine is off Hwy. 11 exit 32A to 57 Acadie St. This living village, bursting with Acadian joie-de-vivre, re-creates the Acadian setting and French-speaking characters of novelist and playwright Antonine Maillet's story “La Sagouine.” Live music, comedy and dance performances, children's theater and Acadian food specialties are offered throughout the day.

Most plays and performances are in French. A few performances of “Le Pays de la Sagouine” are given in English; phone ahead for schedule.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
