Borges Sleigh and Carriage Rides

Borges Sleigh and Carriage Rides is at 50 US 50, next to the MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa; in spring and fall months, rides begin just down the street in front of the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel (4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd., Calif.). A handmade sleigh, pulled by a team of blond Belgian horses, makes its way through a wooded, wintry landscape that ends with a scenic view of Lake Tahoe. Elevation prevents the horses from going very fast or very far. The sleigh driver narrates the tour, pointing out local landmarks. Once the snow melts (typically April or May) the mode of conveyance is an antique European-style carriage.
