Elkhorn Valley Museum and Research Center

Elkhorn Valley Museum and Research Center is at 515 Queen City Blvd. An interactive exhibit about native son Johnny Carson highlights his show business career and presents videos from “The Tonight Show.” The refurbished Dederman Cabin, built in 1868, and the Dederman School, which opened in 1882, are in the adjacent Verges Park. Children's Discovery Zone offers a grocery store, an arts and crafts area and other hands-on activities for ages 2-8. The research center has genealogical and historical records and photos.
