Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Interpretive Trail & Visitor Center

Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Interpretive Trail & Visitor Center is at 100 Valmont Dr. on a 79-acre wooded bluff overlooking the Missouri River. The center contains three floors of hands-on exhibits, works from Nebraska artists and a theater featuring a 32-minute video presentation. A 55-foot-long, full-size replica of the keelboat the explorers used on their journey is outdoors. An interactive display allows visitors to learn how to row a white pirogue vessel upstream. Scale models of Lewis' iron frame boat and a Lewis & Clark expedition postage stamp collection also are on display. Five walking trails are on the grounds; one trail features a 48-foot-diameter Plains Indian earthen lodge.
