Knight Museum and Sandhills Center

Knight Museum and Sandhills Center is at 908 Yellowstone Ave. After a brief video presentation about the region's history, visitors proceed up a ramp that provides access to information about the geology of Western Nebraska and the creation of the sandhills. There are fossils—of coral, seashells, plants, a shark's tooth, a horse's hoof, fish—as well as interactive exhibits and displays about the area's Native American tribes, pioneer immigrants, railroad history and Midwestern town life. A historical and genealogy library also is available.
