Chief Black Otter Trail

Chief Black Otter Trail follows the edge of the Rimrocks along the northern of the city. Swords-Rimrock Park, the area along the sandstone cliffs stretching from Zimmerman Trail to Boothill Cemetery, includes the unmarked grave of Crow Indian Chief Black Otter, who was killed in a battle with the Sioux. Yellowstone Kelly, renowned army scout, explorer and frontiersman, also is buried along the route. While the road is difficult to traverse, some of the best views of Sacrifice Cliff can be had here.
