Saint Louis Science Center is at 5050 Oakland Ave. in Forest Park. The center encourages hands-on exploration of such diverse topics as agriculture, aviation, cosmology, ecology, engineering, medicine and space science. Visitors can program a robot, use a radar gun to clock the speed of traffic passing under a glass bridge above I-64, conduct an experiment in the Life Science Lab and build a replica of the Gateway Arch.
The Discovery Room features imaginative science activities for ages 2-8. Nature, wildlife and adventure films from around the world are shown daily in the four-story OMNIMAX Theater. The James S. McDonnell Planetarium features a space station experience and a high-tech view of 9,000 stars in the night sky.
