Vaile Mansion

Vaile Mansion is at 1500 N. Liberty St. The 30-room home of local entrepreneur and mail contractor Harvey Merrick Vaile was hailed by Kansas City newspaper reporters as “the most princely house and the most comfortable home in the entire West” during its construction in the early 1880s. The restored mansion is furnished in period. During Christmas Opening there's a display of Victorian gowns.
