Masonic Museum and Library is off US 63 exit Prathersville Rd. (4 mi. n. from jct. I-70 and US 63), then .3 mi. n. to 6033 Masonic Dr. and approximately 100 yards beyond the first Masonic complex parking lot. The museum's five themed galleries—Pathmakers and Patriots, Living Well, Generosity, Leadership and Everyman, the latter a space for rotating exhibits—present the memorabilia of and impart the significant contributions made by such famous Masons as explorers William Clark and Meriwether Lewis; President Harry S. Truman, who once served as Grand Master of Missouri Masons; and Laura Ingalls Wilder, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, an organization for relatives of Masons.
Displayed are a medallion from Truman's Masonic collared apron, his gavel and pieces donated by local Masons. Exhibits outline the history of Eastern Star and Masonic chapters across the country.
