Precious Moments Chapel and Gardens

Precious Moments Chapel and Gardens is at 4321 S. Chapel Rd. The chapel was conceived and designed by artist Samuel J. Butcher, who in the 1970s began drawing teardrop-eyed children called “Precious Moments” to convey messages to family and friends. He further developed his signature style by depicting biblical events, which are reflected in 30 stained-glass windows and 84 murals covering the chapel's walls and ceiling. The east gallery displays a large collection of porcelain figurines and some of Butcher's early artistic work. The grounds are adorned with flower gardens, fountains and statues of inspirational figures.
