Oren Dunn City Museum

Oren Dunn City Museum is at 689 Rutherford Rd. Housed in a 1937 dairy barn, it contains exhibits describing northeastern Mississippi’s heritage and history. Buildings and vehicles on the grounds include an 1870s dogtrot cabin, a 1948 Lee County Book Mobile, two vintage fire trucks and a Memphis trolley car that served for years as a diner. A stained-glass window depicting a Natchez Trace post rider also is displayed. Festivals are held on the grounds in May and October. Take advantage of the walking trails and recreational activities at nearby Ballard Park.
