Chickasaw Village Site

Chickasaw Village Site is n.w. of Tupelo, Miss., between I-22/US 78 and West Main Street at Milepost 261.8. The area was the location of a fortified Chickasaw Indian village. Foundation markers and interpretive panels explain the site. An exhibit shelter and audio station tell the story of the Chickasaw; a nature trail identifies some of the plants they used for food and medicine.
