Mississippi Museum of Art

Mississippi Museum of Art is at 380 S. Lamar St. Established more than a century ago, this museum's permanent collection comprises more than 5,000 works of art, making it one of the state's largest. Highlights include African American folk art, photographs and works by Mississippi natives Walter Anderson, William Hollingsworth, Marie Hull, Eudora Welty and Karl Wolfe. Traveling exhibitions are presented regularly. The Art Garden is a 1.2-acre green space featuring outdoor installations.
