Grenada Lake Visitor Center

Grenada Lake Visitor Center is off I-55 exit 206, then 4 mi. e. on SR 8 to 2151 Scenic Loop 333 at the beginning of Grenada Lake Dam. The center provides information about Grenada Lake and the dam. An 18-minute, multimedia presentation tells about its construction. Exhibits focus on the region's Native American, Civil War and natural history.
The nearby Lost Bluff Hiking Trail leads hikers through 2.2 miles of hardwood forests with steep hills and valleys and the remains of a Civil War redoubt. The trail is for the physically fit and is in an area where harvesting of the hardwoods is not allowed. There are four walking trails near the dam including a 1-mile fitness trail.
There's a scenic view of the lake from a balcony, and fishing, boating and other water-related recreational activities can be enjoyed.
Allow 30 minutes minimum for the visitor center.
