AAA Editor Notes
Landmark Center is at 75 W. 5th St. Completed in 1902, the former Old Federal Courts Building today is a cultural facility with five exhibition galleries and a 231-seat auditorium. The center also houses the American Association of Woodturners Gallery of Wood Art, the Ramsey County Historical Society and The Schubert Club Museum.
Guided tours of this grand Richardsonian Romanesque structure showcase such features as a four-story atrium, a marble tile foyer and four restored courtrooms. The North Tower is modeled after Trinity Church in Boston.
Free downtown walking tours depart from the center during the summer months. Special events often take place in adjacent Rice Park. Statues in the small public square honor two St. Paul natives, author F. Scott Fitzgerald and cartoonist Charles M. Schulz.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
