AAA Editor Notes
The Landing is at 2187 E. CR 101. This mix of original historic buildings and reproductions re-creates a mid-19th-century community at a time when settlers were establishing farmsteads and villages on the Minnesota prairie. On weekends, costumed interpreters re-create the life of Minnesota River Valley settlers. Folkways of the Holidays, which take place on weekends in December, celebrate the valley's cultural heritage and holiday traditions.
Note: Historic buildings can only be accessed on guided tours. A self-guiding map of the site is available at the visitor center at the main (east) entrance of the park. Horse-drawn trolley service is offered on a limited schedule; otherwise visitors should plan on walking from 1 to 2 miles to see everything.
Guided tours are available. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
