Mayowood Mansion is at 3720 Mayowood Rd. S.W. This painstakingly restored mansion was the home of Dr. Charles H. Mayo. It contains 40 rooms furnished with French, English, Spanish, German and American antiques collected by the Mayo family. The estate's landscaped grounds overlook the Zumbro River Valley.
Guided 1-hour tours begin at the house; tickets should be purchased 15 minutes in advance. From mid-November to mid-December, visitors will enjoy the festive decorations while the Christmas Tours at Historic Mayowood are offered; reservations are required.
