Michoacán Regional Museum

Michoacán Regional Museum (Museo Regional Michoacano) is at Calle Allende #305, just s. of Plaza de Armas. A palace dating from the 18th century, it contains an art gallery, archeological and natural history exhibits, displays of colonial-era furniture and weaponry, and other historical items. Note the stairway mural by Alfredo Zalce depicting figures who have made a positive contribution to Mexico's national identity, as well as those who have not.
