Nokomis Learning Center

Nokomis Learning Center is at 5153 Marsh Rd., just n. of jct. SR 43 (Grand River Ave.). Various rotating exhibits present the history, art and culture of the Ottawa, Potawatomi and Ojibway, separate Native American groups who spoke similar dialects and held many common beliefs.

Artifacts and contemporary Native American artwork are displayed. Regular events enhance the appeal of the center, which is in a parklike setting.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
