USS Silversides Submarine Museum

USS Silversides Submarine Museum is on the south side of the Muskegon Channel at 1346 Bluff St. The museum includes the USS Silversides—a restored, much-decorated World War II submarine—and the USCGC McClane, a 1927 Prohibition Era Coast Guard cutter. Guided tours through the sub’s compartments explain how sailors lived and worked despite cramped quarters. The museum galleries house military artifacts and explore the evolution of the submarine and stories and events of World War II.
