Marquette Maritime Museum

Marquette Maritime Museum is at 300 Lakeshore Blvd. Displays in an 1890s water works building describe the maritime heritage of Marquette and Lake Superior. A film is shown. Dockside offices of Marquette’s first commercial fishing and passenger freight companies are re-created; a fishing shanty contains sport fishing gear. A Coast Guard lighthouse is adjacent to the museum; guided tours of the lighthouse and grounds are available.
