Fort Mackinac

Fort Mackinac is on a bluff overlooking the harbor. The restored 18th- and 19th-century British and American military outpost is preserved as a museum. All the buildings are original; their history is interpreted through period settings, audiovisual presentations and the Kids’ Quarters exhibit. Costumed guides offer reenactments, military music, and cannon and rifle firings.
