Michigan State University is e. on Grand River Ave. (SR 43), following signs. The school is on a 5,320-acre educational campus; its housing complex lodges more than 15,000 students and student families. Points of interest include Abrams Planetarium, Beaumont Tower, Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, MSU Museum and Television Studio (WKAR-TV) (see attraction listings).
Additional facilities on the campus are the Kellogg Center for Continuing Education, the Munn Ice Arena, seasonal displays of the 1873 W.J. Beal Botanical Garden, and the Wharton Center for Performing Arts. Both men’s and women’s basketball is played at Breslin Student Events Center.
