History Center of Cheboygan County is at jct. Huron and Court sts. The 1880 two-story brick structure, which includes a county jail, served as the sheriff’s home until 1969. The parlor, kitchen and bedrooms are re-created in period style. A separate exhibit hall includes logging, railroad, veterans', marine and Native American exhibits.
A 19th-century Native American furnished log cabin and a flower and herb garden and are on the grounds.
