Historic New England's Phillips House

Historic New England's Phillips House, 34 Chestnut St., was the former home of historic preservationist Stephen Phillips. The Federal-style mansion is filled with five generations of Phillips' family furnishings. Included are fine and decorative arts as well as antique carriages and automobiles. The collection features Fijian throwing clubs, African woodcarvings, Persian carpets, several porcelain items, two Pierce-Arrow vehicles and a Ford Model A.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
