Derby Wharf

Derby Wharf lines Salem harbor and is part of Salem Maritime National Historic Site. This was a base for privateers during the Revolutionary War. Between the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, when foreign ports were opened to American trade, it was a shipping center.
