AAA Editor Notes
Burial Hill, at the head of Town Square, is the site of a fort built 1622-23, a watchtower built in 1643 and the burial place of Gov. William Bradford. A replica of the powder house can be seen. On August Fridays, citizens dress in Pilgrim garb and walk from Plymouth Rock to Burial Hill to re-enact the church service attended by the 51 survivors of the winter of 1620-21.
