Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats Education Center

Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats Education Center is 1 mi. e. on Water St. to 1 Plum Island Tpke. Overlooking the Merrimack River, the 50-acre site offers indoor and outdoor observation areas, walking trails, perennial gardens and interpretive displays. The center highlights the various birds—including bald eagles, snowy owls and warblers—that depend on this locale's salt marshes, mudflats, rivers, bays and coastal waters.
