Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum is at 396 County St., within New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. This 23-room Greek Revival mansion was designed by Richard Upjohn and built in 1834 for William Rotch Jr., a prominent whaling merchant. Rooms display decorative arts, furniture and personal belongings that chronicle the history of the city over a 150-year period. The grounds encompass a rose parterre garden, a woodland garden and a formal cutting garden.
