New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park

New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, with a visitor center at 33 William St., is a 13-block, 34-acre district with cobblestone streets, period lighting and preserved buildings, some of which date back to the early 19th century. The visitor center offers maps outlining several self-guiding walking tours, some of which also relate the history of whaling in America.
