Old Burial Hill

Old Burial Hill, off Orne St., is the resting place of approximately 600 Revolutionary soldiers as well as fishermen and seamen; some grave markers date from the 1600s and 1700s. Fishermen's Monument commemorates the loss of 65 men and boys in a September 1846 hurricane. The graveyard overlooks Marblehead's historic district, the harbor and the sea.
