Ventfort Hall: Mansion and Gilded Age Museum

Ventfort Hall: Mansion and Gilded Age Museum is at 104 Walker St. Built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, the sister of J.P. Morgan, and used as a filming location for the movie “The Cider House Rules,” the Elizabethan-style mansion features a 90-foot grand veranda, gables, stained glass windows, ornate plasterwork and wood carvings, and other architectural elements exemplifying the opulence of the Gilded Age. In addition to offering tours and exhibits, Ventfort Hall showcases concerts, lectures and Victorian teas.
