Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen

Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen is at 6 Discovery Hill Rd. The nature center promotes author Thornton W. Burgess' interest in nature through natural history exhibits and The Old Briar Patch Trail, a 1-mile, self-guiding nature trail. At the jam kitchen, begun in 1903, visitors can watch jams and jellies being made using the same methods as it did at the turn of the 20th century.
