Steeped in history, this spot has lots of unique spaces to discover including the “JFK booth” which was favorited by the former president.
AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Designated as the oldest continually run restaurant in the country, the oyster house opened its doors in 1826. The emphasis is on the lively and historical features within this brick structure. Have a seat at the bar, a favorite spot to feel the historic vibe. Order a pint with a cup of chowder, then indulge in some fresh oysters or steamers and a clam roll. It’s location on the Freedom Trail and one block from Faneuil Hall makes this spot popular with tourists. The children’s menu and comfortable decor that reflects Boston’s rich history make it a good choice for families.
