Coast Guard Heritage Museum, 3353 Main St. (SR 6A), is in the Old Custom House/Post Office, which was built in 1856 by the U.S. Department of Treasury. The restored interior features exhibits, publications, photographs, artifacts and video presentations relating to the Coast Guard and history of lifesaving. A village blacksmith shop and an old jailhouse also are on-site.
