Beneski Museum of Natural History is on Barrett Hill Rd. on the Amherst College campus off SR 9 (College St.). Rocks, minerals and fossils are displayed, including mammal skeletons from the Ice Age; Cenozoic mammal fossils; and more than 1,100 slabs of tracks and traces from the Connecticut Valley, which were among the first dinosaur fossils discovered in North America.
Handicapped parking is available on Amherst College's main quadrangle; however, no other on-campus parking is available Mon.-Fri.
