Rock Creek Regional Park

Rock Creek Regional Park is 4 mi. e. on SR 28, then 2 mi. n. on Muncaster Mill Rd. to Avery Rd. The park contains hiking and bicycle trails, an archery range and a golf course. Lake Needwood offers canoe, kayak, pedal boat and rowboat rentals early May through September, and Lake Frank allows fishing. Meadowside Nature Center has interactive exhibits, a raptor aviary, demonstration native habitat gardens and nature trails. A treetop adventure course, which includes ziplines, is available. The Needwood Queen offers 20-minute lake cruises. Special events are offered throughout the year.
