Museum of Frederick County History

Museum of Frederick County History, 24 E. Church St., is operated by the Historical Society of Frederick County and is housed in an 1820s Federal-style mansion. Exhibits relating to the history of the county feature a collection of artifacts from prehistory to the present. The Frederick County Archives and Research Center located in the same building includes genealogical resources and manuscript and photo archives.

Temporary exhibits, educational programs and downtown walking tours are offered.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
