White Columns

White Columns is at 8 Maine St. Guided tours take visitors through this 1853 Greek Revival-style house containing original Victorian furnishings, pictures and personal belongings from four generations of Perkins and Nott families. Displays at the First Families Museum offer insight into the town’s history. Of interest is the From Sea Captains to Presidents exhibit that tells the story of early seafarers and shipbuilders as well as Kennebunkport’s most famous summer resident, former President George H.W. Bush. The garden offers a peaceful park-like setting.
