The Historic New Orleans Collection

The Historic New Orleans Collection is at 533 Royal St., 520 Royal St. and 410 Chartres St. The three French Quarter locations house a museum, a publisher and a research center. The Louisiana History Galleries introduce visitors to city history, while exhibits in the Williams Galleries cover regional culture. The Williams Residence, an 1889 townhouse, reflects the elegant mid-20th-century lifestyle of collection founders Gen. and Mrs. L. Kemper Williams. The Williams Research Center features art displays and memorabilia. Self-guiding tours including a customizable app are available at the Louisiana History Galleries.
