Old Governor's Mansion

Old Governor's Mansion is at 502 North Blvd. between Royal and St. Charles sts. This Georgian-style mansion was constructed in 1930 for Gov. Huey Long and is said to be a copy of the White House as designed by Thomas Jefferson. The mansion was replaced as the official governor's residence in 1963.
Docent-led tours allow visitors to see the ballroom, state dining room, west wing, governor's office, living quarters and memorabilia from the mansion's political families.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
