Frankfort Cemetery

Frankfort Cemetery, downtown at 215 E. Main St., overlooks the city. A monument marks the graves of Daniel Boone and his wife, Rebecca. The cemetery also contains the graves of 17 Kentucky governors. The Kentucky War Memorial honors Kentuckians who have died defending their country from the War of 1812 through the Gulf War. Many gravestones bear quaint epitaphs.
