Carroll Mansion

Carroll Mansion, 1128 Fifth Ave., is headquarters of the Leavenworth County Historical Society. The 16-room Victorian house, built in 1858, was expanded and embellished with fine carved woodwork in 1882. The furnishings, woodwork, stained-glass windows and elegant antiques illustrate gracious living in the 19th century. A genealogy library includes a collection of 28,000 glass-plate portrait negatives of Leavenworth residents from the town's first 100 years.
