Harry S Truman National Historic Site

Harry S Truman National Historic Site is on Delaware St. off Truman Rd.; a visitor center is at 223 N. Main St. This is the house in which President and Mrs. Truman, when not in Washington, D.C., lived from their marriage in 1919 until their deaths. The Victorian home is crowded with their furnishings and other possessions. The visitor center offers a short audiovisual program and exhibits.

Note: The visitor center distributes tickets on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8:30 a.m. for each day's tours. Tours may sell out. Parking in front of the Truman Home on Delaware Street is limited.
