Fort Hays State Historic Site

Fort Hays State Historic Site, 4 mi. s. of I-70 exit 157 to 1472 US 183 Alt., encompasses the restored buildings of Fort Hays, including the stone guardhouse, the blockhouse and two officers’ quarters. Buildings, including the visitor center, contain interactive exhibits about the fort's history.
